Thanks to your support, tridor celebrated its 2nd anniversary today, August 8th. I sincerely appreciate all the customers who have visited us until now.
This June, I introduced a new kiln and converted an unused Japanese-style room into a gallery. I plan to sell my own pottery here.
However, I am first and foremost a chef, and since I know many professional ceramic artists, I have no intention of selling half-hearted work.
I don’t want my own mediocre pieces to take away from the opportunity for people to buy professional pottery, nor do I want to sell pieces that lack reproducibility under the guise of “art.”
So, what I’m trying to say is—due to my own inexperience, even though I made a gallery, I rarely have anything ready to sell. (Not a single piece from the batch that came out of the kiln at the beginning of this video was good enough to sell. It’s an electric kiln from the same maker, but just because it’s bigger, it fires completely differently… Oh, how difficult pottery is…)
Going forward, if you visit us and are interested, please feel free to speak up. If there happens to be anything available in the gallery at that time, you are welcome to take a look.
That being said, as I enter our third year, I will continue to devote myself to both my cooking and my pottery. Thank you for your continued support.
